Along with 6 other songs, they were recorded from 1985 to 1988
at Dick Mithun's brand new recording studio,"The Site" in Lucas Valley, Marin County, CA.

This was written in 1983 when I heard Bill's "Runaway" album. At the
time I was still living at Trinity, the Humboldt County commune that we
founded (with 3 other families) way out in the Six Rivers National
Forest in Northern California. I went there with my young family in
1970 after I dropped out of the Sons. We lived there for 14 years, until
we moved to Kauai in 1984. Anyway, "Billy" is a brotherly love song.
I've always admired Bill's monster talent and wished that I could sing
as well as him, but as much as I tried I still sounded like me - you
know, just like an average person. The first time that I heard Bill
sing was at Brown's Hall in Mill Valley, and just like you I was blown
away by the great character of that voice. We became bandmates in 1962
(Opposite Six) and were together all the time until 1970.
"Come Back Baby"

Background Vocals: Bill and Tamara Champlin, Carmen Grillo
Not much to explain here. It was an honor to have Bill sing lead with
me. It was kind of a wild and wooly session, and we all had a great
time. It was good to see Terry again.

I wrote this song in Kauai for my beautiful wife Rasberry Moon, also
known as Gai Cain. We've been together for 25 years and she's made it
all possible. I'd probably still be living under a rock if it wasn't for her.
